Our Work Graphic Design Web Design / HEA – Higher Education Authority

For the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and University of Limerick, we designed a visually impactful colour-rich guide for parents and guardians nationally to help them better understand the higher-education system in Ireland.

The 40 page guide Aiming Higher, filled with jargon busters, helpful tips and information was awarded a Crystal Mark ‘Plain English’ award so it was key for the design team to create a look and feel for the guide that was bright, positive, intuitive and non-formal.

One key challenge for the design team was creating an engaging infographic to communicate the CAO timeline and application process, which was so successful that it will printed as a poster for career guidance counsellors in all secondary schools.

The guide was officially launched by the HEA on May 8th.

“From day one Creative Director Michelle understood the critical importance of getting ‘the tone’ of this document right and then designing a distinctive brochure as an essential stepping stone to delivering the core messages to parents and guardians in Ireland. The process was thoroughly engaging and the Copper Reed design team got the look and feel right from the very first presentation. We would strongly recommend the team at Copper Reed Studio to any business looking to produce a brochure of quality as they bring their vast experience to every meeting and help guide you through the process in a fun and eye-opening way”
